    removing oil pump 96 slx

    just did carb kits in carbs and removed oil pump and removed one shaft with gear on end of it is that all there is to it and going to put top end together tomorrow but n my bottom end or case there is alot of oil is that supposed to b there or does it need to come out it is synthetic and is 28 ft lbs on cyl and 18 ft lbs on head nuts sound rite

    There should be some oil remnants but not a lot.
    Yes, by the book it's 28 ft/lbs for the base and 18 ft/lbs for the head. Make sure to use proper torque technique or even at 18 ft/lbs you can easily strip the whole stud out.
