What do you get charged hourly for service?

My 2010 RXT-X has 34 hours on it , it lost all propulsion a couple weeks ago.

I had the RIVA Shop come out and they replaced the wear ring in the ski, telling me that was the problem; I haven't tested it out yet.

I got charged $120/hr for service is this common ?

I had them come out, I paid $100 for dockside service plus the 2 hours to replace a ware ring so it came out to $439...

Yes I asked it, but I figured it would be better off in the SeaDoo only sub-forum

That would be 90.00 for .9hr work, plus shop supplies, plus wear ring, plus u bring it in on a trailer. If this thing was in the water, well.........I get 100.00 an hour on site, it's the going rate for professional services involving people with 1mil gen. liability and workmans comp insurance etc. I can tell u I still don't charge enough........

I'm with you on that. I was making a general statement that by charging two hours for something calling for an hour was a bit high. My on water hourly service for my big boat is not that high.

I agree, but many professionals who quote time-based prices also have a 2hr minimum. For safe opening/repairs I get the service charge plus 125/hr 2hr min., same as if u call out a welder.....2hr min, I am thinking this is what happened here. Many of us go through crap like this ONE time, and then realize it might be best to put forth a little more effort to reduce the bill (ie: take it out the water and bring it in). I would at least get a quote before assuming that they are not gonna bend me over
