    2000 GPR Bog

I have a friend bringing over his GPR that has a big time midrange bog.

The ski is bone stock, the other thing that's been done is the carbs were rebuilt 2 years ago and it ran great afterwords.

Last summer, the ski started to bog down in the midrange. So the owner's friend cleaned out the fuel filter and supposedly it ran great.

This summer, same bog issue. This time, the owner tried to clean the fuel filter, no luck though.

So he wants me to look at it.

I was thinking of doing the following:

    - check/replace plugs
    - remove fuel flapper
    - check PV operation

What else should I be looking at?

    Thanks guys.

I'm getting it tomorrow night to look at.

It's now bogging all throughout the RPM range and he got a high temp alarm today.

I'm thinking cat con is destroyed.

Thats where I'm going to start my search.

I'm going to keep this thread going as a little build thread for him.

I replaced the cat con with a dplate and resistor.

I replaced some aftermarket fuel filter with a new OEM filter.

I adjusted the throttle cable so it idles correctly and the slack is out of the cable.

The ski has like 116 hours on it. The hull is in pretty good shape, except for the broke toe hook and the motor sounds really good.

It's a salt water ski so there was some salt deposits on the outside of the carbs. I cleaned them up and coated them with fluid film.

I'm hoping for some good results when It hits the water.

Ill try to get some pics too.
