    BENDIX

You guys have probably covered this 100,000 times. I can't find the answer however (and I looked at your site K447)
Just picked up a '97 Pro 785. Put in a new starter (it was locked up and once freed, it only worked part of the time). Having issues with the bendix engaging the flywheel. Heard of the fuel tank being pulled and giving easy access to it. Truth to that? And can it be freed up with PB Blaster?
    Thanks in advance

yes remove the tank and buy a new bendix not worth the work to redo it again

Fair enough. Have yet to hear her start. Bought it for $900 from a cop. Seemed to be a straight shooter (no pun intended). Has Vilder cylinder cover (I guess) and each carb Vilder arestors on it. So seems pretty hopped up.

Yeah from Colorado. If it runs after the bendix is fixed then its $900 and a case of beer (our bet during negotiations). As far as pics go, not sure how to from my Crackberry.
