    Hood hoses on a Rxp

I'm about to put my third or forth set of hoses on my rxps. They start to dry out and get brittle then if you sneeze near them they crumble. Has anyone modified their hood for something else I'm.dick of these thing I shouldn't need to replace things almost every year.

Get a cover and condition them. You have to put something on them. I use the back to black. I have had this pair for a little over 3 years and have had no issues. They are like new.

Yep, they usually last about three years under a cover. It's the heat from being stored outside under cover that dries the plastic out, the become extremely brittle and just crumble. I have replaced both of my skis with the ones posted above.

Yeah I've got a cover for when they are on the lift and they stay in my garage. I guess because the heat in Florida is comparable to hell it just eats them up. I'll have to pick up a set of those ss riva tubes. But Jesus 100 bones times to skis that sucks

Or....go down to auto zone, o'reileys, or what ever auto parts store and pick up a pack of braided hose sleeves. The black plastic ones we have are the basic design the sleeves will follow once you slip em on for a fraction of the cost. I personally haven't done it yet but will once I've got monies to spend on boat again =D
