    99 slh no rpm

    working on a 99 polaris slh, rebuilt carbs starts and idles fine , but bogs as soon as you try and get on it , if you let it idle for a few seconds then get on the gas it goes then slowly dies out like its running out of fuel then it will just bog and wont go over like 5mph. any ideas im stumped has both carbs rebuilt, fresh plugs , compressions good.

    Will it rev on the trailer out of the water?

    Does the MFD display work?

    What maximum RPM are you seeing in the water?

    yes it runs perfect out of the water, all the display works and im only getting about 3300 rpm max in the water

    to find out if its a fuel problem or an electrical,does it improve if you slowly pull the choke out?or is it same?or does it die?If it improves as you slowly pull choke,out its a fuel problem,if it quickly dies its elsewhere,note this is rough test to know in which direction to look,hope this helps>Marvin

    if you screw around with the choke it will get higher rpm then return to the bog again and not reach over 3300 rpm

    It's a fuel problem....as in not getting enough.

    Common places to start;

    Carburetor rebuild, including fuel pump, using genuine OEM rebuild kit
    Gray Tempo factory fuel lines replaced
    Replace pulse hose from crankcase to fuel pump
    Fuel selector valve clean/rebuild/replace

    carbs are rebuilt and fuel pump rebuilt, still no go, runs fine out of the water , as soon as you get it in the water it idles perfect but as soon as you go to get on the throttle it bogs right down , does anyone know the factory settings on the low speed carb screws?
