    Yep, here's another one...

......new guy. I just found this site and it is just what I'm looking for. I've got an 03 xpdi that just enjoyed its last stock season. I'm looking for a few good ideas to get it out of the hole, stay hooked up in a chop, a slide a little more in a turn. Any help would be welcomed.

    Welcome BP.

I hear sponsons really help the XPL in the handling department.

Make sure to record all the cursing you do on the install for entertainment purposes.

OK, with the XPDi you only have basically one route to go with the motor.

Install a PPG Level 1 kite and be done with it. I did and it made a great improvement in the ski.

Also go with the worx sponsons. i had 3 different types and the worxs didn't have that wierd feel in the rear end.

Welcome! XPL hulls don't really slide in the turns...sponsons make them turn better (meaning sharper) so it is not really a sliding/spinning hull. You can slide it, but it will get to a point, then it will launch you off of it.

Thanks guys, I have already have found a ton of info.

It really does suck there aren't too many motor mods to be done to a di motor but what can ya do?

As for sponsons, I have heard to just leave them alone because aftermarkets don't produce significant results and the stockers are a pain to adjust.

If you want results, check out Danny's sponsons for XPL's, INSANE amount of adjustments! I think it took him 3 years of testing to get them JUST right...
