2000 Virage TX - dash lights stay on

I have a 2000 Polaris Virage TX. When I turn the PWC off the dash lights stay on until the battery dies. How do I correct this? Should the lights even stay on when not in operation?

    Welcome

Dash lights? Do you mean the red warning lamp is on, or just that the clock and fuel level remains visible?

It is normal for the clock to always be visible. The display internally goes into low power sleep mode but keeps the clock running with no significant power draw.

If your battery is running down it probably is not the MFI display.

Is the bilge pump running all the time?
Does it run when you press the Bilge button?
Does it run when the engine is running?

I can't hear the bilge pump running unless I press the button. It does not run constantly. I am talking about the clock/instrament panel. Do you have any idea what else it could be? The only way I can keep my battery from going dead is to unhook the battery terminal. This is a mystery to me...

The MFI display normally shows clock plus other info. Normal operation even when just sitting.

My guess is the LR-505 Start/Stop module has gone bad (on the voltage regulator side).

You can unplug it and bypass as a test. Details via my signature links.

Also, inside the electrical box where does the Red/Purple wire from the CDI module connect to? Does it go to the Orange terminals?
