    ? about Rotax Racing ECU....

    So I have been chasing this ghost for a few weeks.... Thought it may be a boost leak but still searching. I am going through a list of what is new and what is old from my set up. Compression on motor is fine, I'm building boost with matched RPM's and only thing I can think off now is electronics, which I thought was fine.

    I purchased a Rotax Racing ECU from a member here, when it arrived the sticker was peeling a little and also taped, I questioned it and he swore its legit. So I am wondering how can I tell for sure because I am only hitting 7400 RPM's with my mods listed below. On the hose it will hit up near 8650-8800+ on the limiter. Just want to make sure this is checked off my list or not. Again thanks for all the help!

    throw a small prop in in like a 14/19 and go for a ride. And ditch the BOV, or block it off. Make sure there is no knock sensor piggy back harness installed.

    Or your timing could be off a tooth one way or the other.

    Nope, took it off..... I'm only building 10 lbs with the Rude 2.

    Forgot to mention I had a 15/20 pitched down 3mm and I was @ around 7700 RPM's same boost.

    Your boost is down because your RPMs are down..Its not the Scer..

    what size pump are u running? Stock diameter? or larger?

    also did u ever replace the harness with an 05' ??

    rotax ecu 2 rude ..should spin the crap out of that prop...

    have you cheked this thread out..

    SC is new so I have checked that off my list. Any clues where to look next?

    162mm pump I believe.... just ported, it's larger. It has a stock '04 harness.

    I'll read the thread and also put the stock ecu back. But at least it sounds WICKED with my new exhaust set up....

    Ok, yes I know about the piggy back, actually I have two lying around because I didn't know the ski came with one when I bought it. With my stock ECU and piggy back installed, with old charger set up (S3 wheel and 15/20R) I was still in the low RPMs.

    This sounds silly BUT this happened to my wifes 06 last year..she had a front Scer seal go bad and was sucking alot of oil through the intake system..filled the MAP sensor and Intake manifold temp sensor full of oil..i took them out and cleaned them up and it the RPMs came back..BUT she was only down 2-300 at most.....I would make sure the ECU is good and check your AFRs.....If im not mistaking the Rotax ECUs are mapped for 42 lbs injectors..
