    Backwash question for 4 tecs

I have heard varying opinions but was wondering what you guys do when backwashing after riding. After rinsing and backwashing with clean water do you leave the Salt Away in the lines after allowing it to run through the engine. I've heard some peeps say to rev and flush out the remaing solution or water after shutting water off.
Is it harmful to leave the Salt Away solution in the lines?

I flush my intercooler and my engine with dawn and leave it in.

Yup, dawn and saltaway are very similar. I leave saltaway in the lines after flushing but then I blow out the waterbox.

Is flushing the intercooler different to regular flushing (ie using the adaptor addached to the rear White bulkhead)?? If so how?

I have a standard ic, or is I just upgraded ones that need flushing?

Yes the aftermarket IC has it's own flush port. The stock IC is flushed when you flush the ski normally. You can put a valve on the 4 way fitting (I think) to prevent water from going right out the pump when flushing to go to the IC and engine.

Yes this is a big +1 for aftermarket IC. I used to get a an over heat warning because not enough water was passing through the engine and all was coming out the pump.

Ok, I'm confused....how do you blow out waterbox but leave water in lines..what am I missing? Do you have the special setup that you mentioned?

What I meant is that saltaway leaves a film in the lines. You always want to blow out the waterbox after flushing/ riding.
