    Spark plug changeout question

I've got a stupid question. I'm changing plugs on my 06 RXT. The plugs I pulled out
Don't have a cap on the non electrode end. The new ones, that match up perfectly in stock number do. Ive tried to take the caps off to reveal the threaded end to put into boot but cannot get tops to bulge. Anybody got any suggestions thanks in advance and sorry for what a lot may consider a lane question.

Vice grips. They are tough but come off. And a wrench or socket on the other end,

Just called Advance Auto Parts. They have the same plug with identical NGK numbers on the box but has two different Advance stock numbers on them. I have the nonremovale cap ones and need the ones with the removable cap ends. Go figure. The guy at Advance seemed perplexed about it too anyway, I'm swapping them tomorrow and will chande plugs tomorrow night.

Weird. I just pulled them off. Seemed like maybe a loctite on them, but they came off.

Yep, I got the ones without the removable cap the first time too. Went back and switched them for the right ones, same part numbers.

There are two different stock numbers for the NGK DCPR8E plugs.... 4179 & 4339.

The 4179's will not work as the tip is not removable!

    NGK 4339

Same model number, different ends...OH, and check the store before you leave

On a side note, I found a 3-pack of Denso IXU27's on AMAZON for $28
