2001 Virage TXi - water squirting out of stator cover
My Virage TXi has water squirting out of the gasket between the front cover and the housing that the stator is in.
Any one know how the water could be getting in there?
I didn't think the block had any water running thru it.

The fuel injected engines have a water cooling cover on the flywheel housing. There should be a small water hose connected near the bottom of that cover and another near the top.
You can use a small mirror to get a better look at what is going on down there.
There is no cooling water in the crank case, but there is in the stator cover. Also make sure the water flow through the EMM is not impeded.
