Idle adjustment screw on 97 wave venture 1100

    Hi,

Does anybody know how I would adjust the idle on a 97 1100 wave venture? Everything about it runs great except the idle (Goes for a bit and then dies). I ordered a service manual off ebay, but it won't be here for a few more days. Is it a screw I need to adjust with tools or something I can do by hand?

    Thanks,

    mike

So, I finally found the screw and got it adjusted in the water. The question I have is does it do any damage to the machine if I adjust it a bit high? I don't have a tachometer, so, I sort of guessed at where it should be. I just don't want to blow a piston by having it adjusted too high.

no damage. It'll just idle high.

It's a little T on the front of the carbs in the upper left hand side (facing the gas tank). it's sort of coming out diagonally. It's easy to adjust once you find the T.
