    Upgrades for 09 FX SHO

Hello, I'm looking for a few ideas for getting a little more speed out of my wave runner... I would like to start out with a few easy ones and then maybe look into some other options that may be a little more work. I plan to have the work done by a professional unless there are some that are easier to do.

The first item to get would be an R&D intake grate for safety reasons and to avoid the bucking issue. A vx rideplate modified by Jim's Performance will give you 3 plus mph gain. Easy to install and its the best bang for the buck. Removing the ribbon from the intake, and putting a less restrictive air intake. I purchased the riva kit but some have opted to go with home made systems. Either the free flow exhaust by riva or the Tommy Jordan mod (much cheaper).
That should put you in the low 70's. Hope this helps.

Ship your stock plate to jim for modding// that is what i did and it works amazing !! no need to buy an aftermarket plate when u can have the factory one cut for speed. also an air intake and the ribbon delete mod will give you big gains as well

How long does that process take?

Those 3 mods will be the best bang for the buck + definitely get an R&D intake grate first. Jim's turnaround time is usually a week or less.
Also research Tommy Jordan exhaust mod.

IMO intake grate, R1, rideplate, and manifold upgrade. You could also do some free mods such as Tommy jordans exhaust mod.
