Repair manual PDF, top-end rebuild how to?
I'm looking for a repair manual for my 95 sl650std. Or a writeup on how to replace the topend. I have to replace one piston on my 650 and am certain i can do everything, however after thinking i am not sure how to disconnect the piston from the rod?

Once cylinder is pulled off, pry the little "C" clip (item #1) out with a small flat screw driver, then you can push the piston pin (item #4) out from other side and lift the piston off the rod. Remember to take the needle carge bearing (item #6) from the rod too.

Do i need to replace the rod bearing, pin, and c-clip? or can i reuse them?

NEVER re-use C clips.
If the pin and bearing are in good shape, go ahead. But all the parts are relatively cheap, i would replace them just because they are cheaper than a piston if something goes wrong.
