    2007 250x supercharger questions

    Hello,

I was wondering if the supercharger can be bypassed? Mine locked up on me and before it locked up it has good throttle response, after removing the belt it seems like it wants to bog down at 2500 to 3000 rpm range. I did remove the hose to the airbox. Is this because the air fuel ratio is not what the computer thinks it should be? If it can be bypassed let me know. Dont wanna put out the money for another supercharger right now if it can be avoided.

    Thanks,
    Jessie00721

You can remove all the hoses and run, you will get about 55 mph, but will foul your plugs and valves. Should be possible to put an lx ecu into, or get motec and dial the map right down. cheaper and easier and more fun to get another pos sc.

How did you get that number 55 mph, guess or tried?

perhaps I have another problem. I will have to pull off the line right at the intake and try. Seemed to want to bog down when giving it too much throttle, idle was fine. The few minutes the sc worked, I thought it had good response. I wont be doing the ecu deal, will eventually just get another sc. Want to make sure everything else is working ok first.

    Good idea.
Don't try converting your ski to a non-s/c model just by disconnecting hoses, changing ecu, etc. You will be wasting LOTS of time and money. The engine compression on the s/c ski is too low to run well w/o the s/c (different pistons from LX/15F engine). W/O the s/c, your max speed would be about 25 mph at the most, I'm guessing, no way near 55 mph. Your best bet is to get another s/c if you want to keep your ski.

it gonna be sluggish until you pull the hose from the throttle body... up until you do that the motor is still trying to suck air trhough the airbox, supercharger and intercooler before it gets to the throttle body.
