Bent / Broken impeller
Was out today in deep water 30+ ft hit a small wave and the ski would just rev and only go 5 mph a few minutes later heard metal clanking. Towed back in, and saw on of the blades on the impeller was bent back. With pliers and it cam right off, so I could flush out the ski.
Anyone know why it would bend?

Not sure what that looks like, but did get the impeller off today here are some more pics.
The wear ring looks good no seperation that I can see from corrosion.

frosted surface and pitting..looks alot like sand blast..Thats an original yamaha impeller, its possile that it was cracked for quite a while and finally let go..Your lucky it didnt come off under power and munch the wear ring and stator hub
