What kind of sealant on pump housing when re-installing?

Planning on taking off my pump housing. For some reason I think it may be some of the cause of my cavitation now that I have done the mods to my 07 rxp. Going to get the prop re-pitched later next week but want to go riding this weekend and wanted to do this and maybe it will take some of the cavitation away. When I put the housing, wedge and everything back on I did use sealant but not sure it I used the right stuff and not sure if I got a good seal or not. Maybe some of the cavitation is coming from this? NOt sure just want to try to get some of the cavitation taken away. It cavitates real easy now since I did all the mods. Check my signature for the mods

Hmmm. i ve never used any sealant on either of my skis and have had zero issues with cavatation...Have you checked your carbon seal and wear ring???These are the 2 culprits when it comes to cavatation...

+1, I use a little grease on the front side seal of the pump housing.

When I did all the mods I also did the carbon seal, bellow and clips. I just dont remember it cavitating so eaisly before doing the mods. Would doing all these mods make it cavitate easier? I looked at the wear ring and to me it does not look bad at all. NO gouges or anything.

Spray some windex on the pumpshoe and the big rubber seal.....slides right in without pinching!
