    Intake grate

Im going to purchase an intake grate, which would use recomend? Riva, r&d or solas? The riva and r&d are priced the same but the solas is slightly cheaper. Its for my rxt. I ride mainly salt water which is fairly choppy. But often ride fresh water lakes which are alot calmer. What would you recomend?

    Thanks

Ok r&d it is, are they easy to fit? Just bolt on to your existing intake grate?

+1 I have read in this forum that the R&D Aquavein is a better option for open water riders.

I removed my worx to replace with a riva this week, the worx is great to stay hooked up, let me tell ya. I will have speed differences soon.

Been running the R&D grate on my RXP for a few years. Lately have been considering switching it for a Riva grate in hopes of gaining a little top end.

i would use a handheld propane torch on the nut heads to work the loctite loose so you dont strip out the inserts. other than that pretty easy. i know my riva grate had to be milled and filed down a little for a smooth fit. not sure about the R&D tho, with all the ocean/bay riding im doing this year i should have gone with the R&D.

Did you lose top speed with the R&D as opposed to stock?
