2000 Kawasaki stx 900 gauges not working ???

I have a 2000 kawasaki stx 900. the dashboard does nothing. no lights, no numbers, no letters, nada !

Any ideas on the wiring or what to look for to get this to work ?

It probably got water in it and corroded the circuit board.

Check all the plug in connectors for corrosion. Does the engine start?

the ski starts right up and the fuses are fine. i will clean all the connections sunday and see what happens. I dont think i have ever owned a ski that all the gauges work.. typical

If the engine starts and runs, then I'd assume there's something wrong between the ECM and the gauges. A bad connection or ground is probably the most likely culprit.

I checked and cleaned the connections and still nothing. im leaning towards its fried or there is a bad ground. Since there is no display or lights it could be the ground but who knows. Its the stupid little things like this that drive us nuts hahahaha

So i took the display out and tested the power. After unhooking the clips I only had power in one slot in the blue clip, no other power readings in the two white clips. it was the same story when I checked it at the back of the display. only one wire was hot.

The inside of the display was clean and no signs of water ever getting in there.

Any ideas on the next place to look or do ?

Have you looked in the main electrical box?
