    Rotary valve

I purchased a 96 787 engine for my old gsx, the rotary valve gear is striped out leaving
the brass filings inside engine any suggestions on removing the brass without opening
    bottom end.

no suggestions, open up the botom end!, even if you try to flush the bottom end there is still the chance of some of the brass damaging the crank seal and geting into the bearings.

Split the cases would be my first choice.

If you had the engine out on a work bench you might be able to flush it out pretty good after the RV shaft has been removed.

It would be almost impossible with the engine still in the hull.
