I have heard of guys inducing a small bubble into the oil feed and watching it travel through the lines into the engine. double check all of your oil pump and lines/fittings. when was the last time you rebuilt the original oil pump? if it has some hours may be time to do that.

I would be more worried about the white smoke, that could be water getting into the cylinder somewhere and that is not good. is it big billowing white smoke or just a normal amount of whispy light smoke.??

After running at speed, when you slow down and idle the hot exhaust system may produce some white steam.

If you are concerned about oil delivery then mix some oil into the fuel tank until you have determined whether there really is a problem. Don't get too crazy with adding oil, even 50:1 oil ratio in the fuel tank will provide basic engine protection.

The air bubble in the oil line method can show you if oil is flowing.

What year and model is your engine?

I rebuilt a 700 this past winter. I thought it was very easy to do. Cost me about 600 bucks to do complete.

Compression check will tell you if the top end is in good condition.

All spark plugs out, throttle held wide open.
