    How to self-diagnosis

I keep on following the instructions form the manual but it just don't come on.
Am I missing something or not doing it right by just holding the buttons down after ignition switch on without starting the ski?
    I would appreciate any help.

pretty sure it only shows active faults so if you have no faults it wont show any.

But the engine wouldn't rev above 3k rpm. According to the manual, there must be some kind of problem with the ski to go into that mode.

If FI light flashing on dash? Then dealer mode should show the "active" error code.
Is anything else flashing on the dash?
What model ski do you have?

WoW, what's going on today... I met 2 kawi 260X on the water.
One had no more power, could'nt get over 3k.
One had a FI and engine died... luckly we were cruising around.
And mine also will not go over 3500 RPM unless you plug the f*c#i4g garden hose...

    ok lets try something
at the boat ramp if you leave the ski strapped to trailer , will it rev over 3500k

then try it and see if any water is pumping out the flush point when you are reving/riding when revs are low.

I know you say NO alarm but lets just see

    Waz

Nothing is flashing on the dash. Its an 07 250x with 170 hours. It was all good one minute and not the other. I had a lot of fishing line rapped around the shaft which I cleaned up. Fresh oil and filter, but ski would not rev above 2/3k in and out of the water.
I guess need to take it to the stealer for diagnosis.

When hitting 2or3K RPM, does the ski jerk like hiting the rev limitier?
You will need to do the basic troubleshooting, so you will know where to start.

The manual refers to ECU slowing down the engine speed to less than 3k rpm in many cases. My ski wouldn't go above 3k rpm. I was wondering if it the self diagnosis system would show errors.

It will slow down only when an alarm detect malfunction in your ski, it will go in limp mode to stop you, trying to rev.
But in some case you might have other problem not related to FI, overheating ect...

Just like me, my 300X will not let me rev over 3500RPM sometimes and I do not have any alarm what so ever.

Question, when you WOT, and hit 3000RPM.
    What does your ski?
Does it sit at 3k RPM and ride or does it jerk like hitting rev limiter?
