Smile Day 3 on my 01 GP1200R with Fresh engine and all I can say is wow!

This thing rocks. My body aches like it never has before. My calves have no skin. After purchasing this 01 GPR with broken crank, fixing and riding it this past few days - it has been one wild ride for the record books in regards to fun factor and best bang for the bucks.

1 New/used crank, 3 sets of new rings, new/used 2" extended pump kit plus new bilge pump = all day riding at Texoma which ended up being priceless IMO.

    Cheers! Thanks for everyone's help!

    Gary

thanks - I love dirt jumping on MX bikes, riding this ski is very similar with the exception of the waves/jumps never ending (atleast today) Gary

thats what its all about! you just did rings and no pisons? i didnt know people did that anymore, good to see thats still an option.

do waveeater clips before its too late ! i thought i could make it to the end of summer without them and a pin dropped out and cost me a top end. spend the 60 bucks, its worth every penny

Thanks - Yes, I did only install a new set of oem rings. I measured and inspected the pistons and didn't find any obvious issues that required new pistons (fingers crossed). I am planning to have a new crank built by CW in the future and I'll install new pistons and rings during that time (winter i hope).

I also checked the PV clips and mine already has them.
