SC clutch life -- a different approach for MoTeC users

SC clutch reliability and service life can certainly be improved using a mechanical approach.... but this is not the only way, nor is it always the most effective.

After all the uncertainty created by the various failures of the 2011 clutch system on high boost setups... I did not want to trash my 2011 season with all kinds of clutch issues with my ET18 setup.... so I decided to think out of the box and came up with a totally different approach: electronic management of RPM spikes based on a predictive rpm change algorythm. Controlling and substantially reducing RPM spikes means vastly extending clutch life.

I have tested the system and the results are outstanding! Results and details are posted in post #18 in the MoTeC support forum, link of the discussion is: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...xt-level/page2

Very good stuff for the motec guys. Can the algorithm or "logic" be added to anyone's tune or does it have to be specifically calibrated for each individual setup?

I would say it is 70% generic and 30% needs to be fine tuned based on the SC wheel used because one axis of the calibration map uses engine load... MAP in other words.
