Need Help: R&D Ride Plate vs. VX Plate

I'm looking to buy a ride plate and was pretty much sold on just bolting a VX plate on my FZR, but after searching a little bit, I'm starting to become pretty interested in the R&D Plate....What do you guys recommend? I know Jim does wonders on the VX plates, but I'm also looking at this from a cost vs. performance standpoint....Will the R&D net me the speeds that a modified VX plate will?
I am not an open ocean rider...I'm on the the flat more than anything else. Thanks for the help.

    Mike

Just a thought...... Have Jim mod your stock plate. He does good things with those too.

I thought I read somewhere that he no longer does that due to the fact that the VX plate is so much better on the FZ's???
