RXP Impeller Setback?
Any Idea how this would work with the RXP?
I did this impeller setback on my modified 02gpr. Machined the outer diameter of the impeller down to the blades then cut the inner hub of the impeller to match. Removed 3 threads on the drive shaft then machined the pump housing to keep it from binding. Total setback was .175ths
It really loaded the motor down because the pump became more efficient. Low End and Mid Range were worse but top speed remained the same. It really needed less pitch on the impeller to work correctly. I put a washer back in to shim it back to its original position and didnít mess with it anymore.
The RXP pump has more stator veins than this pump. Some different size shims could be made up to space the impeller for best performance.
