    2003 XLT1200 Top Speed

Looking for some information on 2003 XLT 1200 top speed. Ski has 67 hours and has 120125 psi on all three cylinders. Is this about the right compression? What should this ski run stock? I has the D-Plate mod. installed.

Elsewhere I put low 60s, meaning 61 or maybe 62 on a good day, nose up, light on fuel on glass. I got flamed, but that's okay. I can handle it, as long as it's constructive.

The reason I put that speed is that I know on GPS a stock FX160 does 58-59, and without doubt an XLT is just a little quicker.

Okay guru's, so tell us who's has had a GPS on a stock XLT?

And you tell me too what you feel a stock GP1200R does please? GPS of course.

Talk to Jim @ Jim's Performance. Mid 60's are easily obtained relatively inexpensively. ride plate & mod, flame arrestors, carb jetting, heads, prop and seal kit.
    Kit Performance Data
    Stock 56-57 mph @ 7,080 rpm
    Stage I Kit 62+ mph @ 7,150 rpm
Stage II Kit 62+ mph @ 7,200 rpm
NOTE: All testing was performed with 1/3 tank of fuel and trim in neutral position.
