Lots of power just not going any where, Could use a little help
I had my 2000 stx 900 out the other day. After firing it up i let it warm up at an idle with a little feathering of the gas. After a few minutes i was good to go and punch the gas to take off. i powerd right up but didnt go anywhere to fast. the engine sounded good and the throttle was responding as it should. just not moving a that much.
Thinking it was a cavitation problem i went home and started to take out the pump and housing. After removing the cone ( that was filled with brown shitty water) the bearings and gasket fell right into my hand.
My question is, now having found the bearings in this condition would that be causing my problem, or should I look into replacing them and the impeller ?? below is a pic of the bearings, impeller pic may come out later. Thanks
TRIED TO POST THE PIC, KEEPS TELLING ME INVALID

Sounds like it's time to overhaul the pump. It happens periodically.

Got everything out, looks like it's time for a new pump. Everything is a little soft and the impeller has a few good ridges. Also looks like it was rubbing the inside of the housing before filing itself down.
Don't want to go nuts but what suggestions do you have to get this fixed quick and for the least amount of $$$$ possible. Anyone got parts for sale ?
