2004 Genesis i Bilge pump not working
I dont know if my bilge pump has ever worked. The engine compartment has always been dry, even when I flipped it over many times. Just noticed water for the first time, tried the bilge pump. No luck. Checked the 3 amp fuse and it was blown. Replaced it and tried it and it blew. Sponged out the water. Pulled the pump forced air in it and it seems not to bind. Should I just buy a new bilge, or should I look further. What would you do first. Also just found out my dealer who I orginally bought it from says he will no longer work on polaris just yamaha. Any thoughts on a good repair shop in NE Ohio, Cleveland. Thanks

Replace the pump with another Rule bilge pump.
360 or 500 gph models will fit. Just choose the simple model with no float, sensor or any fancy features. Just runs when power is applied.
The Rule brand pumps are rated for continuous dry running, and the pump should run any time the engine is running.
Any competent PWC shop can replace the bilge pump. Nothing brand specific about that.
