    04 RXP Cranks but Doesn't Start-Timing Issue?

I have a 04 RXP Supercharged with 48 hours on it. At the beginning of June I put a fresh battery, plugs, and oil in the ski. Took it out to the lake a few times and put 6-8 hours on the ski. Ran perfectly with no issues. Last Sunday took the ski out and filled it up with gas before putting it in the water. Ski ran for a few minutes and then died in the middle of the lake. Couldn't get it to restart. Figured it must of been bad fuel since it had run awesome a couple of weeks ago when I last took it out. Today I started messing with it. I pulled the plugs and cranked the ski over. Reinstalled plugs and was able to get the ski to fire. Ran really sluggishly and didn't want to rev up. I then drained all the gas out and put fresh gas with a can of seafoam in it, and purged the fuel line. Couldn't get it to start. Put another fresh set of plugs in it. Ski will crank and sometimes fire and run for a second then die. Sometimes it will crank and backfire out the exhaust.

I have pulled the fuel rail and each injector is firing. Each coil is making spark too. No trouble codes.

What am I looking at here? Possible timing issue?

The original 04-05 (and most early 06) exhaust valves don't do very well over time sitting (and yours has a lot with only 48 hrs) without corroding up due to the metal used in those valves....... unless properly fogged. Did you notice any damage at all to any of the plugs when you pulled them? If not.... check the compression on all of your cylinders.

    BTW.... welcome to the forum!

I didn't notice any damage to the spark plugs at all. Will check compression today. What is acceptable compression for these motors?

Around 130 - 140 psi is where most stockers measure, some a bit higher, some a bit lower, IF the motor is good yet. Most important is that they are pretty consistent from cylinder to cylinder, preferably within 5 lbs of each other

Tested compression on ski today. Note this compression numbers are on a stone cold motor.

    Cylinder 1
    Test 1: 128 PSI
    Test 2: 128 PSI

    Cylinder 2
    Test 1: 122 PSI
    Test 2: 122 PSI

    Cylinder 3
    Test 1: 125 PSI
    Test 2: 128 PSI

Fuel pressure? If no codes it can't be much else....
