Warranty Question - Spark Plugs at 20 hours?

My 2010 RXTX has been acting up, lost aprox 4mph off the top end, been feeling noticably sluggish and the other day it started surging at mid powerband. Dropped the ski off at the dealer and they told me they thought it may be a bad spark plug. (I'm not real mechanichally inclined, so I don't know if this is a logical diagnosis).

Dealer called today and said they replaced all the plugs and it's now running fine. Then proceeds to tell me what the total is for the plugs and labor to install and test.

I was suprised. The ski only has 20 hours on it and was purchased just a few months ago. Should this be covered by warranty or does the fact that it is a wear and tear item exclude it even though it went bad in 20 hours? It's not much money, but I just want to know if I am being gouged here.

On a side note, this same ski with only 20 hours has already been in the shop 3 times. My 07 has never been in the shop for anything other than maint and I had an 08 RXTX that never had any problems; are these new skis just more tempermental or am just unlucky with this one?

Cant really expect warranty on plugs

Did they actually water test it?

They said they did. I would not expect warranty on plugs if they were anywhere near their normal life expectancy. I guess it is what it is; I was just suprised given the fact that ski is nearly brand new.

Plugs in skis generally have a short life (although 20hrs is pretty short)
