    780FA on a 650 - oil line relocation Pic

Where are the stock oil injection lines place on a 780 since there is no holes/fittings for the lines on the FA plate? I relocated mine to the top of the FA cover, for some reason there was already 3 holes with plugs, i just swapped the fittings on. However somehow the 780FA fell off my 650 and starved it of oil, now i'm looking for a better more reliable solution.

Oil fittings are built into the carbs

    A: get a set of 780 carbs

B: get an intake manifold that has the oil fittings installed into it (say a 1994 650 or 750)

    C: Custom install

I thought the 650/750/780 all have the same 38mm carbs, just different jets? Is it possible my carbs have the correct port to install the oil line? So pre-95 years have intakes with fittings on them for the lines?

The 780 carbs have the oil injection fittings on the carbs. The 94 650/750 has them on the intake manifold. My 95 750 has then on the lower half of the airbox

Those plugs were actually for a fogging setup that was never used.

Yeah, the 38mm SBN's that came on the 780's had an oil nipple directly in the carb body. Are you using the stock manifold on your ski or do you have one off a 780? The 780 manifold didn't have the fittings.

I have a set of stock manifolds from a '93 750 that has the OEM oil fittings. These are 3 separate pieces instead of other models where all 3 were tied together. There is an alignment plate that is used to make sure they are straight before you torque down the gaskets. I can send that your way if you need it.

ah ha ok thats what the holes were for. I was thinking maybe i could just drill some holes at the bottom of the base plate how my stock piece was. Or if that doesn't work i could even drill holes in the manifold and weld some bungs into place.

Thanks for the offer, i'll let you know once i have a look at the ski.
