09 rxpx how to know if SC is slipping and or what to look for as it is at 108hrs?

alright so i bought my ski 2 months ago with 76 hours, its been running great, and is stock minus worx grate, and solas prop unsure of pitch but i know the guy before me rode in chop alot and put a solas on to stay connected. so far zero issues, rpms are at 8100 sometimes 8060, highest ive seen is 8160 when it was cooler out.

alright so my ski has 108 hours now, and its getting a rebuilt monday as well as viton seals put on, oil change, carbon seal, FF exhaust and kanaflex 4" put on.

i know i am already pushing the ski's limits, unless the P.O. had the SC rebuilt before me, but i dont want to bet on it. anyway, this weekend is suppose be 90 and gorgeous, i usually add 6-8 hours in those 2 days a good 1/3 of those are stupid no wake zones. i really want to ride the ski, and have been avoiding popping off the rev limiter and gradually get off the throttle from wide open pulls.

will the SC show any signs other than rpm loss ? basically i want to ride really bad this weekend but am paranoid as hell. jsut want to know what to keep an eye out for. skis oil is pretty fresh as well.

The way I noticed both my X's SC starting to slip was when I would cruise for a long streach at aound 6000 rpm, then punch it, the ski seemed to hesitate then take off.

was this consistent? only time i had a bog was when we were going wot, then had a long no wake zone, when i floored it, it bogged and i had to play with the throttle to get it to go back to normal rpms. after that it seemed fine. i replaced the plugs and havent encountered it yet... ugh... now im even more skeptical bout riding...

Glad it ran fine for you. You jinxed me. lol jk. My PX SC started slipping yesterday. But I got almost 50 hrs out of it. I did not think seeing 14+ pounds it would have went this long with out a adjustment. I need to pull it anyways to put on the bellow band.

Nope. I have the older Riva X charger upgrade that they dont make anymore. And I have seen 14.5 @ 8600.
I am not sure but I think it is probably the same wheel, just that they gave it a new name.

    Could be

Just difficult at times to determine which product is available vs what they still have in production.
Would like to see what is out there with a proven track record to upgrade the X charger.
