Talking what octane fuel to run at 3000 ft altitude

I have a 09 fzr with a riva air intake, ribbon delete, free flow exhaust, r2 reflash, b1 wheel, and a riva power cooler, I also have an afr installed, I am going to take my ski to lake nantahala in north carolina in two weeks WHERE THE ALTITUDE IS 3000 FT, glenn at r and d says you need to run at least 91 octane with this set up, my question is since the alt will be higher in theory I wont get as much air as well as boost psi so would it be safe to run 87 or 89 octane gas in this ski at this altitude since it is about 45 min to the nearest gas station with 93 octane, last year when I was there I didnt have the reflash, or the wheel, or the powercooler installed yet and I lost about 300 rpms indicated on my tach, boat would only pull 7400 rpm, boat pulls 8300 rpms now in the heat in tampa, sorry for the drawn out question thanks for the input, also if jim at jims performance chimes in on this it would be greatly appreciated as would any helpful advise, thanks

Just because your are going up in altitude You should always keep the correct octain fuel in your ski your set up requires! Yep the afr might be a little richer at higher altitude but that does not mean you can use a lesser octain than you normaly use Tommy Jordan
