Size of replacement oil lines and clamps - XLT1200

Hello all, this is my first post here. I've done a lot of searching and reading on this forum, particularly about oil injection vs. premix for my 2001 XLT 1200. I've decided to stay with injection for now, but I'm going to replace the oil lines and find some good oetiker clamps for the fittings.

I've done a lot of searches on this site, and I've looked at the service and owner's manuals, and also looked at parts sites online, and I can't find what size tubing (ID), and size clamps I should use. Any suggested retailers?

D-Plate and Wave eater clips are on order.

This ski has about 65 hours on it, was very well maintained, and looks new. It's also a ton of fun, and I want to make it as reliable as possible.

Thanks for the help. What a great site!

Have you seen this thread: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...mps&highlight=

I think the hose inside diameter is 3 or 3.5mm and the outside is like 6 or 6.5mm. Mine were in that range. I just bought new OEM hoses. It didn't cost much and I knew it was the right size and good quality. I bought the clamps from McMaster-Carr. I'd recommend getting the the size you think you need and the size bigger. they don't cost much. I think it was 25 clamps for like $10.
If you really want to check the sizes, you could buy a dial caliper and measure.

Also I would be less likely to keep the oil injection on the PV 1200, because I've heard its difficult to inspect the lines. And I'd like to inspect them frequently.

You both get credit! Thanks a lot for the replies. I'm going to replace with stock lines and good pinch clamps, with the possibility of going premix in the future. Thanks again!
