I think Shibbys losing it. - Ski near completion (pics)

Was hanging out with Shib and VMan last night. Well Shibby's up to his old tricks again. Lots of fab work had been done to his RXP and more to come. All I can say it looks mighty impressive Sure to be one fast MF'er

fired it up yesterday with just oil for 5 seconds for the first time...(thanks for the welding resource and all your help yesterday Vman, extra hands are always good) ... had a stupid screw up on my part , but found the problem and it fired up good ... didn't even have any coolant or water lines in it

woke up this morning hooked up all the flush lines, exhaust lines, coolant lines and filled it up.

just finished running it on the hose for a couple minutes... sounds good, real good ... still some kinks to work out

gave it a shot for chits and giggles.... i know RR ECU doesn't have stock ECU capabilites on BUDS, but i wanted to see if it would even read a ski in any shape way or form... i wanted to see what my current TPS degrees were set at... no go... BUDS and Rotax racing are useless, not that we didn't already know that

    not much andy....

ski sounds good, runs good... have a vaccuum leak though, but i know what it is, found it a little while ago

RR ECU idled 2200... stock ECU idled 2500...

rev it up no problem, wouldn't come back down believe 3000 RPMs... pull key, start again and 2200 / 2500 depending no ECU...

thought maybe i had a TPS problem, but verified i'm getting 0 degrees to +/- 80-81 degrees on BUDS from idle to WOT which is exactly what it's supposed to be

so that ruled out a TPS problem, it ruled out the TB/ECU marriage problem...

left me with idle bypass valve, vaccuum leak after the throttle body, or a crappy machine job by someone on a different piece....

should have it fixed shortly... i dont have any IC ni the system yet.... right from SC to TB, no IC in the loop

see the pic of the waterbox cut open... how black it is inside? that's what the entire inside of the exhaust manifold, j-pipe, and waterbox look like after a crankcase worth of oil blows past the rings ... probably about an even 1/16" inch of oil and sludge coated over everything... not an easy mixture to clean

it's probably gonna do 70mph if i'm lucky, that's my guess... i figure I have about 52 minutes of engine life to go before she blows up too
