    Putting 215/255 charger on a 185hp motor

    Hey all,

Im looking at getting back into this after my horrific experience with my 04 RXP and a broken valve, I found a 03 GTX Supercharged 185 that is a pretty good deal, and i figure its something i can ride for the rest of the season and build it to be what I want come fall / winter. I know that I need to swap computers with an 04 RXP and swap flywheels to have the proper tooth count. is there anything else i need to change to make it possible to stick say an X charger in this boat?

    Thanks

I have been running the following set up on my wife's 2006 185 HP GTX. Yes--you need to change the flywheel to mate the 215 Supercharger. Also replace the fuel regulator on top of the gas tank from a 215 HP. I am running an X charger with 42 lb. injectors and an 2006 RXP ECU. I also installed a Riva RXP rear air kit. Then a 14/18 prop. I have been running this set up for over two years and no issues. On a good day it will run 71 MPH plus. Good luck.
P.S. Not to worry about the cast pistions. This set up turns 8100 RPMs all day long.
