    Question about dropped valves.

I have an 08 motor and I dropped 2 exhaust valves in the #3 cylinder. I originally thought it may have been from sucking up water but the valve stems are hallow. I thought they were supposed to be solid. Can someone help me out with some info. I stumped as to why this happened if it wasnt from water ingestion. Also it seems like many of the valves seats were chipped up. I just dont want to have any problems with the next motor.

If the valve seats are chipped up. You were floating the valves. What valve springs do you have?

Thanks for your help. I have a lot of work ahead of me at this point.

Do you have any suggestions for what I should go with?

Run good stainless valves ( rude, riva, etc) and a good set of dual springs and retainers.
