It's not all its cracked up to be IMO...there's sandbars that can be dangerous and inconvenient at low tide, it's gets crowded, etc...but it is a decent place to go where there's a ramp, u can hang out on the beach, you can ride the inlet waves, tube, cruise the canals, etc...it's got it's highs and lows just like anywhere else I guess...
Im up in OC area but have some friends in wildwood maybe I'll shoot down that way one weekend...Hows the coconut cove bar food? And u can pull up by ski there?

Champagne island is the same as corsons on a nice weekend. You gotta watch certain spots get real shallow real fast. It's an great spot to jump waves when the tide is coming in. I usually go to the wharf, but I know where I'm going next time I'm down. I passed that place last year in the beginning of the season when I was tryin to find wildwood seadoo.

So far what Ive had to eat there has been good. The buffalo hot wings IMO are exceptional. Snow crabs are good
and the kids love the "cove fries" kinda like crab fries from chickys and petes.

This weekend when I got there the outgoing tide had left a huge pool in the center. Then when the tide was coming back in it created a salt water river that was running back into the pool. Neat.
