Should I run it or not?

I just had one of my spare cylinders bored out to my sbt 1050, but at the same time had them clean up the original to match the port hacking that was done by the "builder".

The original cleaned up within spec with only light scoring, no deep or numerous gouges.

Think it'd be safe to use??
I'd hate to hack up my good spare to match their work.

I gotta tell you, I'd run it if it appeared the rings would seal.
I guess the "proper" thing to do is bore all the cylinders the next size over and run some other pistons.
If it were my best or favorite boat I'd do the "proper" thing. If it's a boat for the friends and it's not going to be "built" or anything like that, I'd roll the dice. How about a photo of the cylinder?

AL,.....It's an SBT build. It's not going to last anyway.

    Here's a pic.

Oh, and did you see my other post? I need a base gasket!

Cool, now I just have to match the other spares to the one I just bored, and shelve them. For when this grenade finally goes off.

Anyone got a clue of the cost of stroking a 1050 crank to 70mm?

Got almost all the goodies installed in the hull.

Hopefully Tony came through, and the alignment tool will be here tomorrow.
After that, pipe carbs, battery and premix.

    I'm ashamed to take pics.
I got lazy and didn't clean out the hull while I had the chance.
