    787 crankshaft or short block?

    i have a "96" xp,with a factory II pipe & water injection.prok flys,and jetted carbs. spun the pto rod bearing and chewed the piston.looking for the best deal on a replacement crankshaft.need to true the cylinders also.or should i just get a short block? a friend and pwc mechanic says to find a good used fresh water there an engine rebuilder that is as good as oem?

    I got my crank from SBT, nice crank to be honest. However I chose to use my on machining skills on the cl, heads, block etc
