Best option for a first upgrade?
I just purchased a 96 seadoo xp for my first ski and was wondering everyones opinion on a best option for a first upgrade? I heard to stay away from motor upgrades to keep up on reliability. I was thinking more of either the impeller or the intake grate what should it be?

Welcome to GH. you would best gain from a set of R&D 85/88 nozzles, Solas XO prop, Hi compression head ( many options), flame arrestors and a rejet kit for the carbs. best bang for the buck. anything else/more and you are asking for problems.

Great first ski. Was the flagship of its day. IMO the best bang for the buck is an impeller. Go to solas or skat-trak. Their charts will tell you what you need.

I dont really want to change the head since I just replaced the motor. But the Flame Arrestors and prop are pry what I will lean toward first. while changing the prop should i switch the grate to help provide more continuous water flow.
