Had to get towed in today- is it safe to ride my ski tomorrow?
I am on vacation in Michigan and today on my way back to the ramp from a great day of riding with my 2008 f15x, my ski sucked up handfulls of seaweed. At the time, I did not know this was the problem so I got someone to tow me in. My warning light was flashing and I still rode at idle speed for about five minutes. Smoke started to come out of the back so I got scared and called it quits. When I got back to the house, I removed all of the seaweed from the grate and flushed the ski for ten minutes. Everything seemed alright and water was coming out of the "pisser" fine. After flushing, I examined the engine and turbo. The engine to my uneducated eye seemed the same as before this happened but the turbo had a small amount of black oil-looking liquid on it. My question is, does it sound like it is alright to ride my ski for the rest of the week? I think I was basically running dry on idle speed for five minutes which I know is bad. Sorry for the long post.

With smoke coming out from the back sound like you over heated it due the wed which is now gone.
If the ski over heat the exhaust system the rubber starts to melt around the exhaust fitting and start to come off causing a major water leak inside the haul not good.
Check all hose joints and grab by hand and shake as had as you can to make sure that they don't come off.
Then double check all hose clamps and tighten them all up again.
Then don't go to far and come back and take the seat off and check a couple of times to be sure.

I just checked all of the joints and clamps and they all seem to be fine. I haven't taken it out today but is there anything else I should look at?

I would keep an eye on it for awhile re check hoses and clamps for the next few rides.
Check for water in the haul otherwise you got lucky.
