Post - Rope Suck - White Plastic Sleeve loose around shaft?

    Hi all,
I have a 2007 Sea-Doo GTX. Sucked a rope yesterday, got the rope out last night,
but now there is a white plastic sleeve loose on the pump shaft?

What is this piece and how do I get it back to where it belongs?

This white sleeve is about an inch or more long - feels/sounds like plastic,
and is slightly larger diameter than the shaft.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I searched all over the internet for diagrams of the pump assembly with no luck.
    -Mike

ps- looks like one of the bolts that holds the grate on is stripped/ just spins So I had to remove the rope with the grate on.
