    New member! just got a 93 slt750 ,,, NEED HELP

    ok i just got a NON running 1993 sl 750,, was told it has been sitting for about 3 years,, he had the bottom end redone,, an said it needs the ttop end redone now, he has the pto's i guess "cover" of an the fuel rail looking thing removed, an the air box removed an has latex gloves shoved in the holes,, so i need to know if i should just rebuild the whole thing or just the top end or if i should even bother rebuilding it an just part it out,, an save up an buy another one???? any advice would be very helpful,, o an i only paid $300$ for it an the utility trailer it was sitting on.......

    start reading and then you can decide what to do. no one can tell you with what you have provided. there are plenty of great posts and pages of introductory info to help you learn about, asses, and eventually ride this ski.

    i have been reading,, im looking for info on a complete tear down an rebuil of the fuji motor,,,,, an anythink else anyone can provide

    Find the Polaris factory manual online. It has everything in there. I think it would be well worth rebuilding if it only needs a top end. A new top end kit plus machining will most likely run about 450 bucks

    I have a 750 top end ready to go for 300 bucks. New pistons and all needed gaskets, cylinders machined and ready to go

    Welcome to the Hulk.

    If the bottom end was redone, and it sat for 3 years, it's questionable....

    If the crank wasn't properly prepped for extended storage, it may be rusty now, and basically considered junk.

    I say get a good look at the crank and see where you stand beofre you go any further.

    ok well git it pretty well tore down the inside of the hull is nasty .... an i think dude had his info backward topend looked like it had been redone pistons read .100 on all three the oil pump looked new but when i got to the bottom the crank is frozen an completly rusted so tommarrow going to finsih taking block apart an seeing if i can save the block an just get a better crank from somewere ,, or should i just get a crate motor from somewere?????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????/

    Sounds like it was 1mm oversized pistons.

    You can get a SBT crank rebuild for your 650/750/780 for $245.

    Then all you need is a set of OEM crank seals, Threebond 1211 silicone, and a top end gasket kit and piston wrist pin circlips.

    Much cheaper if you ask me than the 700-900 for a rebuild.
