Thread: GPRXP??

    GPRXP??

    I have a 2000 gp1200r hull and it needs a motor so i was wondering if it would be worth it to put the rxp motor in there instead of putting oem standard motor... Im big when it comes to jumping waves n the ocean so i need the ski to be reliable, lots of torque, and balanced.... any help would be appreicated

    What is your timeline? and what is your budget?

    As far as jumping waves you should have no concern. I have flown my yamadoo for 40hrs (and flat landed from 6'+ MANY times). I have found zero issues that would not have been found on another oem.

    The difference I have found is the weight is farther back on the yamadoo and the torque is amazing. The tail doesn't pop up as high and flat lands less but my goal is to back-flip it.

    I'm similar to above... No trouble wave jumping my gprxp the last 3 years... My best advice is buy a good complete stock donor ski & transfer all that into your ski, will be less headaches & cheapest in the long run (than buying bits for a gprxp a little at a time)... Good luck!

    RXP motor and Yami 2stroke with OEM pipes weigh the same. Power is not comparable so if fun is the main concern I would go with the 4-tec.

    Pump tunnel pressure from Motec Logging.

    2x 1" valves off SD Pump adapter. running 90mph at the time. One shows a peak of 79psi, although this was only a once off so no idea why it did it... but normally around 55-60psi
