You also have to check for ac voltage at the yellow wires while the machine is running (I believe close to 20 acv at idle) and make sure you have good continuity between the black and red wires at the rectifier and the battery. Disconnect the battery before doing the continuity test. You could short out your meter

Should be 24vac @ idle on all three checks.

If that checks out.... unplug the black-red wire connector at the rectifier, and check those (rectifier side) with your meter while the ski is running. If you don't have 14vdc there while running, you have either a stator or rectifier problem, or the connections between the two.

had the same problem on my 02 gtx...you prolly left the battery connected for longer than 1-2 weeks which is enough to drain a perfectly good battery and throw the low volt code. even with a periodic trickle charge the d.e.s will still drain to low volt if you dont disconnect the battery.

no i just rebuilt it and had the motor out so battery was disconnected and i charged it before putting it in so i know my battery is not the issue since i tried my brothers battery that has been running all this time still doesent charge at idle still 12.2 volts not 13 or 14 where it should be

i will double check all grounds but the ski cranks right over fast and will run fine till the battery just dies which i will not do since it screws the battery up i check the a/c voltage output of the stator and its good 23.something on all 3 wires in diffrent sequence and the main harness from the startor to the regulator ohms out good 0.1 all 3 wires now im a bit confused i mesured the output of the regulator both black and red wire and i only got 2.5 volts do i have to messure the red wire to ground or to the black wire coming off the regulator?
