    146 non-modular vs. 148 modular

I have a 1993 SL750 that I am currently rebuilding. I bought a 95 750 as a parts ski and pulled the jet pump off of it. I was wondering which pump I should put on my 93. The 148 has about .015" clearance and the 146 has about .005" clearance. Which one would have the better thrust?

The 148mm modular is hands down the better pump.

However, the wear limit is only 20 thou and you're pretty close to that.

Install the 148 and get the tolerances tighter. Either a new impeller or wear ring.

148 all the way. Much better pump than the 146 ever thought of being.
