Hi guys looking at getting one this weekend, one ski is a red 07 all stock with 42 hours at $6500 one owner (last registered in 09)he said he's been using it but the registration is suspect and next ski is also 07 red 45 hours with
    riva straight pipe exhaust
    riva ride plate
    riva intakegrate
    riva performance intake (air)
    macc racing blockoff kit

    And he want's $7k

SO THE MAIN QUESTION IS GO WITH THE STOCK OR MODDED SKI?

Any help ,violent reactions will be appreciated.

Wierd, I'd have another any day of the week. Water test before you buy. I would takea GPS. Stock should be 65 to 67 mph. Riva should be 70 mph. Check rpm at WOT Stock 7500-7600, Riva 7800+. Check engine bay over carefully. Check holeshot, if it cavitates, there is either a damaged/worn prop or shitty aftermarket prop. Make sure water free flows out of the pisser, etc.

4.5 seasons and 110 trouble free hrs. on my 07 250, only thing I had to do was change the oil and plugs once a year. Best rough water beast ive ever ridden, even better in the rough than the 300... Don't think I would buy a used one, though id own another with a full 5 year warranty without hesitation.

At 110 hours in 4.5 years you dont ride much.....MOST major problems start rearing their heads around the 100 hour mark.......

well, I have 2 skis and a 29 foot boat, so between the 3 about 75 hrs./ season. We ride and boat from may - october. Doesn't matter how many hrs. I put on a ski anyway, we buy new skis every 4-5 years with full 5 year warranties. I won't ever buy another used ski, and if I did it would have to have some portion of a 4-5 year warranty left. After 4 seasons i'm ready for a new one anyway.

On the other hand, I've had friends with sea-pukes waiting entire seasons for them to be fixed, and even with a 5 year warranty, if my ski sat in a shop for an entire season I'd be pretty pissed off. We usually bring them into the dealer for any warranty work in november and they can fix anything over the winter.
